Uponarriving at Shiz University, Madame Morrible immediately takes Elphaba under her wing, much to Glinda’s dismay.
However,Wickedleaves the second half of the play entirely untouched.
Glinda never demonstrates her magical abilities throughoutWicked, with her mostly seeming like a normal human.
Glinda, however, seems to think that she is capable of magic.
This isn’t just speculation, asthe end ofWickedclearly sets Glindaon this path for the sequel.

Wicked adapts the Broadway musical into a two-part film, following the unlikely friendship between Elphaba, born with green skin, and Glinda, a popular aristocrat, in the Land of Oz. As they navigate their contrasting paths, they evolve into Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
