While Elphaba flees and Glinda stays behind to make peace with the Wizard, Fiyero departs Shiz.
She, Fiyero, Nessarose, and Boq all would logically finish their education.
However, Fiyero then might go back to Winkie Country rather than Shiz.
If Shiz is the equivalent of college in this setting, it’s not required that he attend.
It is implied that neither Glinda nor Fiyero has seen Elphaba since the events depicted in the movie.
When it comes down to it, Fiyero fights for Elphaba, no matter the cost.
