Homer and Jimbo are largely in supporting roles, working to help Marge and Shauna respectively.
Jimbo’s infrequently mentioned bond to his mother reflects Homer’s loss of his own.
Even beyond those connections,there are other consistent similarities between Homer and Jimbo.
