In honor of the movie’s release,ScreenRantinterviewed Gavin O’Connor to discussThe Accountant 2.
He also confirms the previous reports of anAccountantTV show and clarifies whether it impacted the long-awaited sequel.
“I did discover that you actually can’t put two chairs on an Airstream.
That didn’t work.
So, that was complicated how to pull that one off.
I didn’t use a note of music, there’s no score.
The Accountant 2, released in 2025, sees Ben Affleck reprising his role as Christian Wolff. When an old acquaintance is murdered, Wolff enlists his estranged brother, Brax, to unravel a deadly conspiracy. Alongside Marybeth Medina, they confront a relentless network of killers determined to maintain their secrets.
That scene is just these two brothers talking.”
It wasn’t expected, and it was just a bullseye.
“The series was never going to be with Ben,” O’Connor clarified.
The idea for the series is Justine has other accountants out in the world.
Christian isn’t the only one.
So, I’d probably bring Ben in for a cameo here and there.
But that’s a whole separate world of accountants.
We want to build out a whole universe of accountants.
So nothing from the TV idea, in any way, was working its way into this movie."
Alongside Marybeth Medina, they confront a relentless web connection of killers determined to maintain their secrets.
