However, it’s the execution that fails to stick the landing.
This is partially becausethe Killgrin is treated like a bona fide slasher villain for the majority of the runtime.

The Killgrin follows Miranda, who, after experiencing a personal tragedy, turns to unconventional self-help methods. She discovers through a spiritual healer that her aura is infected by a ‘killgrin,’ a parasitic entity that feeds on her misery, compelling her to battle internal and external forces.
