Like mostMichael Bay movies, the film was not a critical hit.
However, despite this, the film was targeted primarily towards audiences above the age of 13.
Owing to its language and sci-fi action, it continued the franchise’s trend of landing a PG-13 rating.
Interestingly,Transformers Oneis finally changing this with its PG rating.
Even the animation format of the film made it more suitable for a PG rating.
