While diving into the ocean to touch it, Moana is struck by Nalo’s lightning, nearly dying.
However, Maui is able to save her using his powers.
When Moana comes back, she discovers that she has been turned into a demigod.
Blessed with new wayfinding powers, Moana is finally able to unite the islands using these gifts.
One of the biggest has to do with how Moana will age.

It is likely that Moana will deal with the same aging changes.
to make it avoid this problem,Moana 3could reveal that immortality is a power that only Maui has.
When she jumped into the water to touch Motufetu,Moana knew she was sacrificing herself.
Since there will be several years between each live-actionMoanamovie,the actors in the film will obviously age.
Now that Moana herself is a demigod, however, she can fill Maui’s role.
