Fuqua and Washington lost theEqualizerfranchise withThe Equalizer 3endingthe franchise upon its release in 2023.

Marketing it as coming from the director of theEqualizertrilogy could boost audiences' interest too.

Each entry made over $190 million worldwide, which is twice as much asShootermade in 2007.
