Summary
As someone who goes toM.
If I attempt to judge the Josh Hartnett comeback objectively, 2024sTrapis by no means a bad movie.
However, as someone who once defendedM.
Night Shyamalans silly but fun twist endingsat length, I was still disappointed.
WhenTraps endingarrived, the biggest surprise was my lack of surprise.
In contrast, evenTraps post-credits scenewas unsurprising.
There are at least a dozen absurd twists that could have elevated Traps story.
However,The Visitworked for me because the movie refused to admit just how obvious its twist was.
Still, this worked far better thanTraprefusing to offer any surprise, twist, or subversion of expectations.
In contrast,Trapfelt small and inconsequential.
Then I saw who was directingTrap, and I was much more excited.
Trapis currently playing in theaters.
