Theending ofResident Alienseason 3left its characters in varying degrees of danger and/or intriguing scenarios.
That may make it sound as thoughResident Alienseason 4will be predictable, but I’m of the opposite opinion.
Either way, I’m thankful theResident Aliencastis coming back.

Cliffhangers always make me an even blend of excitement and nervousness.
That being said, I’d be very disappointed ifResident Alienseason 4 opened with Harry’s immediate escape.
Doing so would undo the brilliant development at the end of season 3.

When Tudyk’s character takes the identity of a doctor, he arrives at a small town and begins to act the role preparing his plan. As time passes, he develops human emotions against his will - but his plans are further complicated when he meets the son of the mayor - who can see his actual appearance.
As the show’s main character, this would be a huge loss - not to mention incredibly boring.
Resident Alienseason 4 will be the first run of episodes since the show switched networks from Syfy to USA.
A time jump would solve this issue.

I think that could be a good middle ground, but it wouldn’t be my preferred option.
I can’t wait to see how Mike has processed his encounter with the dead Grey Alien.

How that would look is still unclear, though.
Harry’s story is pivotal to this.
Alternatively,Harry could attempt to return to Patience, Colorado after breaking out of his prison.
