Mufasa: The Lion King

Mufasa: The Lion Kingprovides a new origin story about how Scar got his scar.
In fact, Scar was not always the name of Mufasa’s brother.
He is the son of Queen Eshe and King Obasi.
Taka and Mufasa grow up together and are brothers in all but blood.
This is the second time that Taka saves Mufasa’s life.

Both stories reveal Scar once being called Taka and that he previously betrayed Mufasa due to jealousy.
Taka is jealous of Ahadi always favoring Mufasa over him.
After this, Taka also chooses to be known as Scar in the short story.
Mufasa: The Lion King explores the origins of the beloved character Mufasa, focusing on his youth as a lost cub who encounters Taka, a royal heir. Their meeting initiates an epic journey of self-discovery and destiny, featuring a group of misfit companions navigating the challenges of their world.
Eshe also wanted Mufasa to be part of the pride and taught him to hunt.
