Families like the Malfoys are known to be extremely wealthy, while the Weasleys are poor.
From our Muggle perspective, Hogwarts’s education lacks the basics.
Another Weasley disaster involved the twins transforming Ron’s teddy into a spider, scarring him for life.
It’s strange that things like Unbreakable Vows or the Unforgivable Curses aren’t abused morein the Wizarding World.
Though theMinistry of Magicmonitors magic use,Harry Potterdemonstrates that this becomes more complicated in magical households and communities.
6Other Wizarding Spells Are Completely Redundant
What Even Is The Point Of Locked Doors?
Harry Potteris full of useful spells, but some aretoouseful.
A prime example of this isAlohomora, a spell to unlock locks.
If first-year wizards can masterAlohomora, why does anyone in the Wizarding world bother with locks?
The spell makes itself entirely redundant.
HBO’sHarry Potterremake could address this by introducing a tiered skill system for both locks and the spell itself.
There must be more to it than pointing a wand at any old lock and muttering “Alohomora.”
Some locks (really most locks) must be impervious to the spell.
Still, the numbers, especially within Hogwarts, are inconsistent.
J.K. Rowling has said there are about 1,000 students at Hogwarts, with approximately 250 students per house.
3Portrait Magic & Moving Pictures Are Puzzling
Are They People Or Not?
When you think about it, movingportraits and pictures inHarry Potterare quite disturbing.
Why wouldn’t everyone have a painting made?
TheHarry Potterremake can detail the limitations of paintings compared to living people.
Punishments in the Wizarding world are pretty outrageous and inconsistent.
Azkaban is the only prison ever mentioned, and it is entirely run by the Dementors.
It’s a bit extreme, but this is all the stranger when considering how Hogwarts expulsion works.
Students can be expelled from Hogwarts for various reasons and aren’t allowed to get their magical education elsewhere.
In fact, their wands are destroyed, and they are forbidden from practicing magic altogether.
Oddly,dangerous wizards who are sentenced to Azkaban aren’t in danger of having their wands destroyed.
Sirius, Bellatrix, and every other escaped Death Eater reclaimed their wands once they were free.
At the very least, theHarry Potterremake should acknowledge the injustice of it all.
Harry even had the bones in his arm regrown inHarry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
There are strange limits to magical healing, however.
If this is the way it is, so be it.
However, it would be nice if HBO’sHarry Potterremake acknowledgedwhyeyesight is beyond fixing in the Wizarding world.
