However,Gladiator 2clarifies that her character is closely tied to Denzel Washington’s Macrinus.
And given what transpires inGladiator 2’s ending, the threequel could redeem her position in the series.
This should continue with a strong focus on Lucius and his life as Rome’s new emperor.
There’s also the chance that she fled Rome.
In either case,Gladiator 3should reveal her fate.
There’s even aGladiator 2theory that Calamawy was Macrinus' daughter.
This could even be a way forGladiator 3to build on Macrinus' real history.
