Therefore, there are a lot of similarities between Lucius and Maximus throughout the movie.
However, Maximus also has many similarities with anothercharacter fromGladiator II.
The Romans, led by General Acacius, attack Numidia, and an intense battle breaks out.
Acacius is actually one of the leaders of the rebellion against Emperors Geta and Caracalla.
Just like Acacius inGladiator II, Maximus is definitely not evil.

Gladiator 2 is the follow-up to Ridley Scott’s award-winning film Gladiator from 2000.
