Despite being an entertaining thriller, BlumhousesDrophas many unanswered questions and headscratchers that make the story harder to believe.
As a fan of the production company and director Christopher Landon, I was primed to enjoy Drop.
In preparation for Screen Rants coverage, I watched the movie twice.
The filmography is excellent, the film maintains the suspense, and the actors did a great job.
Landon clearly took inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock, and it shows in the best ways.

9How Did Richard Bug The Entire Restaurant?
Neither of those would be visible from his table.
However, the movie fails to answer the question of how he bugged the entire restaurant.

8How Did Violet Fake Pouring The Poison Into The Tequila?
She cant even go to the bathroom or write on a napkin without them knowing exactly what shes doing.
Theyre presumably watching her so closely that they can see whether liquid comes out of the vial.
She doesnt have another vial that she can fill with water to throw them off.
7How Did The Meter Reader Get Inside Violets House?
Jen also isnt shown letting him inside the house at any point in time.
As such, its a question mark of how exactly he got inside the house.
Perhaps, she forgot to lock the backdoor.
Alternatively, he could have used his job to convince Jen to let him in.
Either way, I wish they had shown that rather than leaving it up to the viewers to speculate.
6Who Is Richards Employer?
Yet, the ability to scrub the mayors server makes sense.

Yet, it raises other questions about how theyre connected and why.
Theres just too much unresolved mystery.
5How Did The Conspirators Manipulate Violet Into Going On A Date With Henry?
They needed the two to match on a dating app.
They somehow had to manipulate both parties into liking each other enough to want a date.
The situation seems entirely too precarious to work out exactly as planned.
4How Did Richard Clone Violets Phone?
Perhaps they bribed someone at the phone company.
They certainly have the money to do that, given the embezzlement scam.

However, without direct confirmation on this detail, the phone cloning in Drop seems silly.
3Why Didnt Henry Have Another Backup For His Photos?
The idea that Henry didnt make another backup separate from that makes no sense, though.
Henrys decision to not have a second backup of his own is a headscratcher.
2Who Helped Richard Kill Phil?
He kills the piano player with Fentanyl-laced Sertraline and taunts Violet by putting the dollar bill in her food.
Theres just one issue with this.
1Why Did Henry Stay On The Date?
Violets phone is vibrating nonstop, andshes barely paying any attention to anything Henrys saying.
She behaves in suspicious ways.
Her behavior is strange enough for both the waiter and bartender to worry about her.
The fact that he doesnt leave the minute he finds her watch is too much to believe.
