By the time thatCompanion’s endinghas concluded, Iris is liberated with complete self-control.
That will inevitably lead to meeting more of her kind.
Companion’s post-credits sceneshows the beginning of this journey.

As Iris leaves Sergey’s lake house, she eventually comes across another car with two passengers.

The biggest difference is this one is blonde.
There is a brief tease to this suggestion that multiple companion robots could share similar appearances.
Iris is seemingly one of the newer female models.

In addition to the main Iris returning,Thatcher could play one of potentially thousands of other robots.
This would provide the actress with an opportunity to deliver a rich performance as she crafts multiple characters.
A sequel’s presumed robot revolution storyline could then take on a deeper meaning.

After Iris freed herself, she could now go on to free everyone who looked like her.
However, there’s also the chance that some other robots will not want to leave their human companion.
The franchise could explore what makes Iris different through either lens.
