The first Gradient Skill is automatically unlocked once you unlock Gradient attacks.
After completing the Level 7 quest for each character, you’ll unlock their third and final Gradient Skill.

Beat Francois (again) so Esquie can go underwater (Urrie Rock).
Lune
Find Lune’s parents' Expedition 46 Journal at Sirene’s Dress.
Maelle
Find Alicia at the top of The Reacher tower.
Monoco
Go to Sacred River and bring Noco back to life.
Sciel
Learn about Sciel’s past (no quest).

Tree of Life: Cleanses all status effects and Heals all allies.
Sky Break: Deals extreme damage to all enemies.

Element depends on which Stains Lune has the most.
Phoenix Flame: Applies 10 Burn to all enemies and revives all allies with 50 to 70% Health.
Gommage: Kills weak targets.
Otherwise deals extreme Void damage.
Sanctuary: Gives 2 Shields and Applies Regen to all allies for 3 turns.
Break Point: Deals extreme single target damage.
Uses weapon’s element.
Fills the target’s Break Bar and Breaks it.
Doom: Deals very high single target Dark damage.
Applies Powerless, Defenseless, and Slow for 3 Turns.
End Slice: Deals extreme single target Physical damage.
Damage is increased for each Foretell consumed since the beginning of battle.
Verso
Striker: Deals high single target Physical damage.
Angel’s Eyes: Deals extreme Physical damage.
Gain 1 additional Perfection per hit.
Applies Aureole to Verso, reviving him if he dies.
In my view, the best Gradient Skills inClair Obscur: Expedtion 33belong to Verso and Lune.
They will also give you unique skills that are absolutely essential for late-game bosses.
