Bio-exorcist Betelgeuse (Michael Keaton) reprises his favorite role of haunting Lydia Deetz (Winona Ryder).
Betelgeuse is not the most patient groom-to-be, however.
In both movies, Betelgeuse makes minor characters disappear, seemingly to their deaths after slight annoyances.
But it is not clear if they actually died at first.
The joke is on him when Betelgeuse hijacks the nuptials and the bride for himself.
He also gruesomely has all of the social media stars swallowed up by their own phones.
But theaudience never sees the TikTokers pop back out of their phones.
His wife follows not long after when a poisonous snake bites her.
That is Betelgeuse’s specialty after all.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is the sequel to the original Tim Burton classic that starred Michael Keaton and Wynona Rider in a horror-comedy that involved ghosts trying to scare off new homebuyers from taking their house. The sequel brings back Michael Keaton as the hilarious and sleazy ghost with selfish intentions, now joined by Jenna Ortega in a new role.
