However, his role was kept under wraps.Matt Berry is confirmed as the voice of the Villager.
It’s a surprise that Berry’s role is ultimately saved for a mid-credits reveal.

There is no mistaking his voice, though, as he adds some additional comedic relief to the scene.
That’s a bigger deal for Steve considering he was stuck there longer.
Steve is greeted at the door by a woman with reddish-orange hair who now lives in his childhood home.

They exchange pleasantries, and he’s then allowed to come inside.
The woman is only shown from behind, so we never see her face.
However,she confirms that her name is Alex while introducing herself to Steve.

This causes Jack Black’s character to react noticeably, almost as if he knows who Alex is.
Alex’s introduction inA Minecraft Movieis notable in that it confirms that Alex is a woman.
The characters in theMinecraftvideo games are meant to be genderless.
This includes a tendency to use genderless pronouns, they/them, when discussing the characters.
Not a male Human Being or a female Human Being, but simply a Human Being."
Beyond the visual similarities,introducing Alex to Steve in this way is seemingly the start of their friendship.
This does open up the possibility of more Minecraft skins to join the franchise.
