There is certainly more to aspire to than only romance, but old Hollywood would suggest otherwise.
Snow White has a new love interest named Jonathan, replacing The Prince in the 2025 live-action remake.
Thankfully, 2025’sSnow Whitestill saw Zegler’s character awoken from her sleeping death by true love’s first kiss.

In the case of 2025’sSnow White, we got a more complexbackstory for Snow White’s kingdom.
Movies like 1937’sSnow White and the Seven Dwarfsleft a lot more to audiences' imaginations.
The movie didn’t have to show a full kingdom since it was implied that it was there.

By comparison,Gal Gadot’s transformation inSnow Whitewas a bit anticlimactic.
What’s more, it was always evident that this was Gadot in prosthetic makeup.
It ultimately seemed likea needless change that only diminished the story.
In the original version, the villain died shortly after poisoning Snow White.
The ending was visually interesting but lacked the iconic irony that made the originalSnow White’s ending so delicious.
