Normally, the animatedTransformers Onefits into that timelineand serves as a prequel to those films.
Here are the biggest changes betweenTransformers OneandTransformers.
The younger Orion Pax ofTransformers Oneis a far more groundedand straight-forward character, lacking the genuine scientific backstory.

Instead, Orion is established as one of countless miner robots who are tasked with recovering Energon.
Orion is notably not a particularly intelligent or scientific worker, instead harboring hopes for a more free future.
This approach highlights the optimism and idealism at the core of the character and his mission.

The ending ofTransformers Oneeven sets up further conflicts against their forces.
By contrast, theQuintessons don’t really factor into the Michael BayTransformers.
Their race are never formally introduced, and are represented inTransformers: The Last Knightwith Quintessa.

Transformers One is an animated action-adventure movie that marks the first animated feature-length film for the series in decades. The film will be a prequel to the franchise, and will tell the story of Optimus Prime and Megatron in their early years, how they met, and a closer look at the war on their home planet, Cybertron.
Ultimately, the Quintessons just aren’t a factor in the live-actionTransformersfilms.
This is also very different from her much more minor role in the Michael BayTransformersfilms.
She helped fight against Sideways early in the film before taking park in the final battle of the film.

However,Elita-1 was unceremoniously killed during the conflict.
This was how he gained the admiration of Optimus Prime and became a consistent presence in the Autobots.
This bond is an interesting tweak to the way Bumblebee was portrayed in previous iterations of the franchise.

However,he still ultimately comes across as the same power-hungry Starscream.
It’s a far more ethically driven version of the character than often seen before.
This is because the Matrix in the animated film will only be taken by someone worthy of it.

However, they play out very differently in the two versions.
This is a far cry from his fate in many other iterations, including the Michael BayTransformersuniverse.
As a result, he didn’t die until the 21st century on Earth.

Both characters are far more villainous in that portrayal.
By contrast,Megatronus Prime’s impact on D-16 inTransformers Onea far more tragic and emotional turn.
Still, Megatornus played a key (if far more subtle) roel in that evolution.

However, the exact circumstances are vastly different between the two cinematic versions of the character.
By the end of the film, a furious Optimus killed Sentinel.
The Sentinel ofTransformers Onegoes through a similar broad arc, betraying the heroes and eventually being dispatched.
When D-16 eventually embraces his future as Megatron, he’s the one to confront and ultimately kill Sentinel.
However, the exact way the Primes work differs between Michael Bay’sTransformersuniverse and inTransformers One.
This plays into D-16’s motivations to bring down the entire order.
By contrast, the Michael Bay films used the concept to createthe Dynasty of Primes.
These sort of changes highlight howTransformers Oneis far more focused on its own version of the story.
