What makes Lord Dudley stand out is that he is a multifaceted character.
As the eldest of King Henrys children, Mary was the one who should have been Englands ruler.
However, her half-brother, Edward, is the one who ended up becoming king.
My Lady Jane is a Prime Video original series created by Gemma Burgess. The story is a “what if” style story of English royal history where King Henry VIII’s son Edward, Lady Jane Grey, and her husband Guildford all survive their real-life deaths. In the retelling of history, Jane Grey takes center stage, becoming queen and immediately finding herself facing nefarious villains.
For most of the series, Mary comes up with diabolical ways to murder Edward but always fails.
When Jane is crowned queen, Mary is justifiably upset and continues her plot to usurp the throne.
Unbeknownst to him, Edward was being poisoned by Mary and Lord Seymour.
SinceMy Lady Janewas canceled, whether Edward resumed his rule is still a mystery.
He is incredibly devoted to his paramour and does everything she asks without question.
While Guildford is known for his charm, he is a much deeper character.
The series does an incredible job of showing how much Jane changes as her life takes an unexpected turn.
Her kind heart, resourcefulness, smart mouth, and wit are what make her such a compelling character.
