Enchanted Idina Menzel’s most underrated role is in the 2007 filmEnchanted. Meanwhile, inEnchanted,Menzel plays Robert’s (Patrick Dempsey) girlfriend, Nancy Tremaine. It makes sense for Nancy’s role to only consist of acting. As a real-world character, she is portrayed as a regular human who doesn’t randomly break into song. Additionally, she is a realistic version of the stereotype of the evil stepmother. The way she has a different worldview than Giselle shows where the conflict with Morgan comes from....

The self-aware humor ofThe Expendables 2works so well because the story would be unintentionally hilarious without it. Part of that can be blamed on the fact thatThe Expendablesdidnt technically originate as anExpendablesmovie. Callahams script was initially developed independently of Stallone. The action wasnt as riveting and the humor didnt land as effectively....

“The Two Doctors,” though, stands opposed to nostalgia in quite a dramatic way. Making matters worse, though,none of this is explicitly interrogated in the script. “The Two Doctors,” in contrast, barely shows any interaction at all. It’s utterly underwhelming - and it’s hard to avoid feeling that was the whole point. The plot is threadbare, the ideas are ill-formed, and even familiar characters feel unlikable. Robert Holmes was one ofDoctor Who’s greatest writers, but this was sadly not his finest hour....
